The 25th APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology, and Innovation (PPSTI) meeting was held from February 24 to 26 in Gyeongju, South Korea. The meeting, themed "Leading inclusive development with APEC human resources, powered by open innovation and emerging technologies" was attended by nearly 100 representatives from 17 APEC economies. Wang Yi, director of APCTT, attended the meeting.

On the afternoon of February 24, Wang Yi reported on the progress of the project " Innovation Exchange: Industry-Academia-Research Collaborations Dialogue" . The project has progressed smoothly, successfully hosting  APEC Industry-Academia-Research Collaborations Dialogue in Suzhou in November 2024. 

During the Policy Dialogue session dated February 25,  Wang Yi made a presentation title “Emerging Technologies and New Horizons for APEC Collaborationon " and introduced China's developments in the three major emerging technology fields of artificial intelligence, advanced biotechnology, and quantum technology.

Cooperation in emerging industries is not only about technology sharing but also about shared responsibilities and creating opportunities together. Wang Yi called for strengthened policy coordination, deepened capacity building, and promoted talent exchange to jointly address global challenges such as climate change and digital transformation.
